Our company began in 1956 outside of Cody, Wyoming. Robert Musser and Lillian Musser founded our firm on the principals of honesty, effectiveness and hard work.
Robert E. (Bob) Musser enrolled in a 3 week auction course at the Western College of Auctioneering in Billings, MT. It was here that he made many life-time friends and began his career as an auctioneer.
What began as a local auction firm helping local farmers and ranchers market their equipment at auction, has grown into a regional powerhouse auction marketing firm and real estate company.
Robert (Bob) had a total of 3 farm equipment auctions in 1957 that totaled around $28,000. He soon could see that he also needed a real estate license so he could also sell the farms.
Bob received his Wyoming Real Estate Broker’s license in 1958 and that began his career in selling real estate, both at public auction and also private treaty. Musser Sales Company’s motto was “SERVICE IS OUR PURPOSE” and that motto is still true today.
In 1974 his son, Harold, received his real estate license and shortly thereafter his other son Randy received his license. His daughter Loveta and his other 2 sons, Merton and Scott later followed and received their licenses.
Today the Musser family holds licenses in several states in the Northwest. In Wyoming Harold, his son Mark and grandson Forrest sell real estate on a daily basis. They have invested in real estate in the Cody area and own farms, office buildings, residential and commercial developments. They understand real estate.
Whether you are thinking about selling or buying real estate, talk to a Musser professional. You can rest assured that the same principles of service, integrity and hard work are woven into the fabric of everything we do.
